• Placement is exclusively for nannies and newborn specialists who have graduated from our programs and have demonstrated commitment to the profession
• Our personalized placement process targets a superb match between families and nannies

PRACTICUM FAMILIES

Alexandria School's practicum family opportunities are available to families in our area.  Our student nannies and newborn care specialists provide live-out child care as they gain invaluable first-hand experience.

Practicum family guidelines:

• At least one child under the age of 4 or multiple children with at least one child under the age of 10
• Live within 20 minutes of our school 
• Successfully complete our registration, interview and background screening
• Evaluate our students' ongoing experiences

In exchange, student nannies provide 8 hours of in-home child care per week for the bulk of the school term.
A student newborn care specialist provides 12 hours of consecutive in-home newborn assistance; it may be possible to line up multiple students.
